Service & Leadership
TCU-501
During my B.A. studies, I joined the university community work project TCU-501 in which I developed instructional materials to teach and learn English. This material was donated to low-resource schools in Costa Rica. (2010-2011)
Service Project for United Way
In the course EDCI-572, I collaboratively developed an instructional project for United Way. The whole class was divided into 4 groups, and each group was in change of developing a module targeted at volunteer leaders from non-profit organizations. I was in charge of the module on retention skills.
Purdue Association of Learning Design and Technology
As part of this association, I have been involved in the organization of social and professional development events such as writing groups, design competitions, and digital tool showcase sessions. I have also contributed as the editor of the PALDT newsletter.
Purdue Fulbright Association
As part of this association, I have attended to social events such as Coffee Hours in which different Fulbrighters or people who want to apply for a Fulbright scholarship join to discuss different topics related to their studies or ask questions or suggestions to thrive in the journey as a graduate student.
